Food Service Management Department
Food Service Management Department is the part of Food and Nutrition Administration, MOH, Kuwait. Foodservice Management Department is the regulatory entity for all the MOH hospitals. Foodservice Management Department aimed to provide the High Quality and Safe Food to the patients by strengthening the professionalism of the Food Inspectors (Food & Nutrition Administration) and Food Supervisors (MOH Hospitals) through the best practices, knowledge sharing, peer-to-peer mentoring, and educational opportunities. Continuous Inspection on daily basis is conducted by Food Inspectors from Food Service Management Department. MOH hospitals foodservices serve the best quality food to the patients. The MOH Hospitals are categorized into three groups:
Group I:
- Adan Hospital
- Farwaniya Hospital
- Jahra Hopital
Group II:
- Mubarak Al Kabir Hospital
- Ibn Sina Hospital
- Kuwait Cancer Caring Center (Hussain Maki Jumma)
- Orthopaedics Hospital (Al Razi)
- Psychological Hosptial
- Amiri Hosptial
Group III:
- Chest Diseases Hospital
- Maternity Hospital
- Maternity Nurses Hostel
To provide the Quality and Safe food to the patients, it is mandatory for all the Contracting catering companies to implement HACCP System at their respective locations and get certified after verification process.
The approval of all types of food products, equipment, smallware, cleaning chemical is under the control of Foodservice Management Department’s committee which is consists of 14 members from all the MOH Hospitals. They have scheduled weekly meeting to discuss all the issue relevant to all of the above mentioned products.
