Food safety is a diverse field with many interacting components. The 1st Kuwait Food Safety Conference 15 – 17 March, 2010 shall bring together International, National and food safety professionals in a neutral, educational setting that shall impart information, stimulate dialogue, and fosters cooperation and innovation on contemporary issues, problems, and developments. The conference shall provide an opportunity for those with different food safety responsibilities to learn, network, and see others’ perspectives.
A conference “Solutions to Global Food Safety Issues” is aiming to tackle the food safety challenges currently facing the food industry and will focus on the latest food safety issues.
Conference participants will gain an updated, broader view of the field and their role in securing and protecting a safe food supply. An accompanying exhibition will offer a comprehensive selection of cutting-edge technologies, services and products to solve most challenging food safety problems.
Conference presentations will be at a level appropriate for professionals with varying degrees of expertise in a variety of food safety fields. Speakers shall moderate the technical components of their presentations so the audience as a whole shall gain useful “take home” messages. While exhibitors with product displays and information shall be an integral part of the conference.

- Ensuring that both Knowledge and Practices of Food Safety are deployed throughout the Food Chain of the country, equally by the Government and Food Business Operators.
- Highlighting the Latest Issues and Topics in the Codex Alimentarius regarding Food Safety.
- Highlighting the variety of food safety issues that lead to wastage of food, and in the meantime provide solutions to enhance food safety, and reduce food wastage.
- Aims to strengthen the food safety standards Implementation in the country and to harmonize global food safety standards (ISO 22000).
- To enhance the consumer awareness in relation to food safety and health.
